ASSESSMENT OF INDICATORS OF NEURO-MENTAL DEVELOPMENT IN PREMATURE CHILDREN
Abstract
Premature babies are at risk for the development of delayed motor, mental and speech development, which dictates the need for dynamic monitoring for the timely detection and correction of neurological deficits. Purpose of the study. To study the relationship of neurodevelopmental delay (NDP) in full-term and premature newborns in the dynamics of the first six months of life. Material and research methods. 40 full-term (gestational age 38-40 weeks) and 24 premature babies (gestational age 32-37 weeks) were followed up in the dynamics of the first six months of life. NPR was assessed on the scale of Zhurba L.T. and Mostyukova E.M. [5]. Conducted clinical and functional study: neurological (sensitivity, muscle tone, unconditioned and tendon reflexes), ultrasound examination of the brain (Pilips. - 480). Results and conclusions. In newborns with low body weight, signs of spasticity appear in the upper and lower extremities. Asymmetric hypertonicity of the muscles of the upper and lower extremities is revealed.
