Abstract
Preserving and promoting the health of adolescent children is one of the pressing health problems. The solution to this problem is of high social significance and is one of the most important tasks of the state, because adolescent health is a fundamental basis for the formation of the country’s reproductive and labor potential and is a factor of national security.
Objective. Studying the influence of social and hygienic factors on the quality of life of adolescents in the cultural and social conditions of the Fergana Valley.
Materials and Methods. The main objects of the study were adolescents aged 13 to 17 years inclusive, studying in general educational institutions and colleges in Andijan. A total of 1,500 sets of questionnaires were distributed to children and their parents.
Results and Discussion. The highest quality of life is observed among adolescents raised in two-parent families. In single-parent maternal and paternal families, indicators on all scales turned out to be significantly lower than in complete families. Moreover, if in the population as a whole the level of the “School functioning” scale was the lowest, then in single-parent families the psycho-emotional status suffered to a greater extent, which is manifested by low scores on the “Emotional functioning” (55 points) and “Mental health” (63 points) scales. .
Conclusion. Thus, the level of quality of life of adolescents is influenced by social-hygienic factors and psychological characteristics of the individual.
